Angela Maize
Story
Angela Maize spent several years in the classroom as an elementary school teacher. During that time she participated in relevant professional development and was afforded many leadership opportunities. During her time in the classroom Angela excelled in the areas of classroom management, communication, student rapport and engagement, and efficiency. Her time as a classroom teacher came to an end, and her journey as a building leader began. Angela served as a Dean of Students, Assistant Principal and Principal. As a leader her goal is to be an advocate for staff, students and families. Angela’s strengths as a leader and desire to help others excel led her to pursue public speaking engagements and the publishing of books that serve as practical guides for personal and professional development. These guides can be utilized by individuals in various fields and stages of life.
Education
Angela has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters of Education degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She also holds an Educational Specialist degree in Building Level Administration from Arkansas State University. Angela achieved National Board Certification designation through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and is a current doctoral student at Arkansas State University.
Accomplishments
Angela is a graduate of the Arkansas Teacher Leadership Institute and the Assistant Principal Leadership Institute. She was named a University of Arkansas at Monticello Young Alumnae Rising Star.
